Fahrenheit

Opening this week is the "Fahrenheit" group exhibition at Lovett's Gallery in Tulsa, OK. I have the honor and privilege to be a part of this awesome show. The exhibition showcases a wide variety of exceptionally talented artists and their interpretation of the Fahrenheit theme based around the Ray Bradbury novel of the same title, "Fahrenheit 451"

My contributions to the show are entitled, "Benign Stasis of the Monarch (King & Queen)" Shown below...

They are both 16" x 20", oil on linen. Both paintings speak to the loss of identity without the pursuit of knowledge and independent thought to the concept of the book burnings in the novel, "Fahrenheit 451". Without independent thought and the pursuit of knowledge there can be no self and one will suffer the loss of individuality, thus the blank mask and attire.

Below is the show card and the tremendous list of amazing artists who are participating in the exhibition.
